SCENE 13

INT – EARTH: ACADEMIC SPHERE: TRAINING FACILITY

The trainees file in to the control room holding their helmets in their hands. Each one displays varying degrees of satisfaction, exhaustion, and disappointment. Blilisius, poised to deliver a final briefing waits for all the trainees to gather.

Regent High Trainer Blilisius (serious and gentle spoken):

“You all completed your circuits today. The endurance and fervor you all displayed are not overlooked. As you continue to abound in different skills and virtues, remember that while they are needed for advancement, spiritual success comes by hearing and heeding to the Supremes’ voice…. Ulin.”

Everyone in the room turns their head to look at Ulin. Feeling a little awkward, Ulin glances at his peers with pursed smiling lips and slightly raised brows.

Regent High Trainer Blilisius (serious and gentle spoken):

“Ulin not only finished his own circuit, he responded to the prophetic knowledge given him, heard and heeded to the voice that directed him into a different circuit, protected a fellow trainee, and successfully facilitated progress of his teammate.”

Blilisius looks straightly at Ulin.

Regent High Trainer Blilisius (serious and gentle spoken):

“Well done.”

As Blilisius speaks he raises his hand to perform an accolade giving solute: resembling the hierarchy solute, with the hand remaining near the corner of his mouth. Alden gives the same accolade-giving solute; his pace trailing slightly behind Blilisius. The trainees follow suit. Ulin humbly responds by performing an accolade-receiving solute, stilling his hand at his cheek bone. After a beat, they all lower their hands.

Regent High Trainer Blilisius (serious and gentle spoken):

“Trainees are dismissed.”

Blilisius looks at Onizmo

Regent High Trainer Blilisius (serious and gentle spoken):

“Will you please stay a moment?”

Onizmo, looking visibly tired, grabs the back of his neck, his eyes widen momentarily.

Onizmo (subdued):

“Yeah.”

Ulin leans inn toward Onizmo.

Ulin (quietly):

“I’ll wait out in the hall for you.”

Onizmo (subdued):

“Ok, thanks.”

The room clears out, leaving Blilisius, Alden, and Onizmo in the control room. Alden remains in quiet observation.

Regent High Trainer Blilisius (serious and gentle spoken):

“Onizmo. Though you are on level 3, today I put you in a level 4 storm.”

Onizmo’s eyes widen. He runs his fingers through his hair and he turns his head to look away: processing what he was just told.

Regent High Trainer Blilisius (serious and gentle spoken):

“This physical realm is full of provocation, meaning your mind, your emotions, your desires, and your environment all compete for your attention. When you slow down and actively listen and wait for sound direction, you will have both peace and fruitful progress.”

Onizmo’s realization sets in and he quietly accepts the lesson. He nods his head as he continues to processes everything that transpired. Alden remains in quiet observation.

Regent High Trainer Blilisius (serious and gentle spoken):

“If Alden doesn’t need to add anything, you can go.”

Both Blilisius and Onizmo look at Alden.

Regent High Counselor Alden (pleased):

“Good work with your willingness and spiritual advancement today.”

Onizmo turns to leave. He exits the control room and sees Ulin holding two gym bags. Ulin gives Onizmo a quiet glance, knowing his friend is still processing everything. He hands Onizmo his gym bag. The two start to head out. The camera lingers as the two walk down the training corridor toward the exit

Onizmo (quietly echoing through the corridor):

“How about that meal”

A reflective beat goes by.

Ulin (quietly echoing through the corridor):

“That sounds great.”

The camera captures their camaraderie as they exit the facility. The sound of the facility’s doors open, giving way to a bright light: slowly revealing the exterior as Ulin, Onizmo, and the Earth-based training facility morph into Nezwen and Taryn entering the library in the Utopian Realm.
