Scene Transition: The bright filaments transform into the intricate lines of a circuit board crackling as the dome fades out. The crackling sparks and low hum amplifies as the image fully morphs seamlessly into a close-up of a sparking circuit board on Earth.

INT - EARTH: DIMLY LIT ENGINEERING ROOM

Onizmo’s fingers tap rapidly across the Avider base, eyes wide, focused entirely on the panel. The temperature gauges rise. The above lights flicker as the board emits a steady series of beeps that increase in pace and decibels.

Onizmo (increasing panic):

“Come on. This shouldn’t be happening."

The Earth-based Radian Control Board quickly reaches high-temperature warning.

Cliffhanger: Suddenly, an electrical surge causes the lights to flicker and sparks to fly from the circuit board. A mild explosion forces Onizmo to cover his head and stumble back several feet. After a moment of delirium, he regains focus. Onizmo grabs a fire extinguisher hanging on the wall near a drafting table and quickly douses the flames. The exposure to the extinguisher’s agents causes him to cough. He frantically looks around, searching for a mask. Just as the fire is extinguished, he clutches a mask and places it over his mouth and nose. Suddenly, the entire room is plunged into darkness, and the sound of electricity continues to faintly hum, resembling the sound of the FlareVox.
